What We Do

Street Children of Peru works

in partnership with Scripture Union of Peru to build a future for Peru's most at-risk children.

Day Centres

provide food, clothing and the opportunity to go to school for boys who are victims of poverty, neglect and abuse. With this help, some boys, who would otherwise be forced onto the street with no hope of a future, are able to live with their families.

Refuges

are for the boys who have run out of choices. They provide food, clothing, a nearby school and, perhaps most importantly, they are secure and loving homes where these boys can begin to enjoy childhood again.

Child Sponsorship

provides funding for the running costs of children's refuges. Sponsors are provided with updates on the progress of a nominated child and news of how he and his ‘brothers’ have benefited from the sponsors’ help.

The Education Fund

aims to give each young man the chance to make a living for himself in a country where, for many, life brings unemployment and extreme poverty.

Work Teams

travel to Peru to take part in construction projects and to provide medical services. Volunteers from all walks of life help to build and restore facilities for boys with nowhere else to go. Dentists and opticians provide treatment to the boys and their communities - people who would normally go without. Time is spent with the children playing games and giving them those treats that other children take for-granted.

Street Children of Peru pledges

that 100% of public donations will go directly to the work in Peru. As a Christian charity, Street Children of Peru encourages supporters to commit to praying for the children.
